Who is Eric Ramsey? Some call her an art movement while others refer to him as a musical project. Regardless on which epithet you put on it, you can be sure that this enigma is influenced by a wide array of impressions which he confusingly tries to put together into something lasting. So what would this look or sound like you might ask yourself? Well to put it in Eric’s own words - we sound like sounds sound like or look like things look like. Could it be any clearer? I guess so, but at the same time I guess not. Somehow it’s all obvious to Eric though – or is it?

Eric Ramsey is an artist who resides in Gothenburg, Sweden. He is influenced by a wide array of diverse impressions ranging from video games and motion pictures via books and comics to Swedish folk music, hip hop and punk rock. On his recordings Eric plays most of the instruments himself, but he often invites other artists to participate - thus creating a playful and unpredictable sound. Musically he mainly stumbles around in the fields of mellow pop and electronic music, but he also tends to pick various colours and flavours from neighbouring genres. Hence consistency is not the epithet you would put on this man. It is rather the lack of consistency that characterises Eric Ramsey and his music.
